Gravity is a photography series of dancers placed within a natural setting where they are forced to defy the laws of gravity while executing improvisational dance movements above the ground.  The use of a pinhole camera with long exposure times added to the complexity of each image that was created. By pushing each dancer to the limits of their physicality, I was able to successfully compose and create aesthetically interesting images that allowed the dancers to become intertwined and one with nature.  Often the dancers’ bodylines blend in with the angles and twists of tree limbs and bamboo.
